Tony Davis - Davis'es Brewing Company
Brewers of our own label 'Olive Oil' Bitter, amongst many other award winning ales. Father and son team Tony (the old head brewer of Ruddles when it as still an independant brewery here in Rutland) and Will Davis have their brew pub the Grainstore Brewery in Oakham, next to the railway station. It's a great place for a really good pint when in Oakham with a large range of real ales and continental beers. They also have tours of the brewery which can be arranged by appointment, speak to the bar staff at the The Olive Branch or Red Lion Inn.

Sara Barton - Brewsters Brewery
Sara is one of only a view female brewers, she set up her brewery in Stathern (she has recently moved to a larger brewery in Grantham) and has been supplying beers to the Red Lion Inn since before we were there. Her session bitter the Marquis is a delicious light golden bitter, she also has a wonderful range of 'Wicked Women' ales which change regularly.

Rachel Birch - Melton Mowbray Liqueurs
Rachel makes these wonderful liqueurs (Sloe Gin, Wild Damson & Whisky, Blackberry & Vodka) using the wild berries from the carefully managed hedgerows around her family farm in Sproxton, she then steeps them in the finest spirits for several months before bottling. They are excellent with cheese or as a digestif.

Melbourn Brothers Brewery uses traditional processes to produce award winning, fruit beers. Using natural wild yeasts and fresh fruits, taking a year to mature.The All Saints Brewery is situated in the heart of Stamford, and also has a restaurant and tea shop. The beers are superb summer quenchers.

Belvoir Cordials - Belvoir Fruit Farms
Made here in the Vale of Belvoir only 5 miles from the Red Lion Inn, many of the traditional cordials are made with berries from the local hedgerows, as well as herbs, flowers and fruits all belnded with water from the local spring.
